The Workout Passport
Last week, I mentioned setting down some solid, attainable goals, as a way to change up your mindset and create a new path to progress. Now let's talk changing up the way you workout.
Do you have a set routine? Do you do the same type of exercise at the same time of day for the same length of time the same number of times per week? Do you want different results? Then you're gonna have to do something different.
Think of it as a workout passport, and you're trying to get as many different stamps as possible. The idea of "muscle confusion" is key for results, as by doing different types of exercise, you are training a wider range of muscles. Check out new classes or activities in your area; make a list, and pick one a week to change up your routine. Barre classes, yoga studios, personal training, bootcamp-style workouts like CrossFit and Orange Theory, hiking, swimming, bleacher workouts at a local school, spin classes, and pilates are all great options to throw into the mix. What workout have you tried lately that you loved?
